Oncology explained

Understanding a cancer treatment before going through it, at your own pace, from your browser. This is where I gather my prototypes to explain it: radiation therapy rooms to visit, and games to learn by playing.

Why

Many patients start a cancer treatment without a picture of what lies ahead: a place they have never seen, an impressive machine, a new vocabulary. Seeing before living it, at your own pace, changes the first contact with care. The game was designed first and foremost to be fun, and its mechanics are what teach players the concepts of oncology.

For whom

For patients and their loved ones who want a picture of a journey that often starts without one. For caregivers looking for a way to explain. For anyone curious about what immersive experiences and games can bring to care. The game itself is for everyone: you do not need to be a patient to play it and have fun.

Interactive radiotherapy rooms

Step into a radiation therapy room before your first session. Two experiences to do it.

The visit with Lili takes place in a real room, scanned in 3D, equipped with a Halcyon linear accelerator. The step-by-step session takes place in a 3D model built from another room, equipped with a rotating-gantry accelerator. The first lets you discover the place, the second shows how a session unfolds.
